Dear DJ,
Thank you for participating in the www.dancefuel.dj SL DJ Charting Event.
The concept of this event is to get 5 SL DJs, who’ve already played at Digital Nation, some real world recognition by being Charted in a Real Life environment, such as that of dancefuel’s website.
What is Charting?
Charting is usually reserved for established and well known RL DJs. In where a DJ submits 10 (ten) of their favorite tracks (in this case those available on the dancefuel.dj website). Then dancefuel.dj will take that list of picks, and post on their website… along with a photo (your Avatar photo in this case as this is an virtual DJ related project) and any DJ contact information for the rest of the world to see. Thousands of dancefuel customers will be seeing and using YOUR suggestions as part of their purchasing process!
However, as part of your participation, we will need to make sure:
1. That you must be available to play at Digital Nation party on January 18th (Monday) 2010. Time to be announced. Arabella will handle scheduling. DJ slots will be 1 & 1/2 hours each due to the number of DJs.
2. All participating DJs must have all Charts submitted Digital Francis ( francis@dancefuel.dj This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) by NO LATER then January 10th 2010 (this coming Sunday). Reason: we are doing real world promotions for this event, and need to have all materials available on dancefuel website prior… for marketing purposes. Please download and read all directions, and fill in the Excel Spreadsheet Chart at this link: www.dancefuel.dj/charts/kit.zip
3. It will download as a Zip. Unzip to open. Again send back to francis@dancefuel.dj This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
4. You will receive a $75 music credit at dancefuel.dj for being picked, and for your participation. But in order to do so… you must 1st register to the website. All RL info. will be kept strictly confidential, and only know to the administrator of the website.
5. We will need a photo of your avatar for the website. Digital Francis requests that he takes your photo, as it will be part of a bigger photoshop design. Please let touch base the week of Jan 5th thru Jan 9th 2010. Arabella and I will both Contact you, please reach out to us as well.
Thank you again, and excited we can bring real world opportunities to those music artists who use Second Life as a platform to perform. Also, please note that much time, energy and money were… and will be… into promoting you and this event. So please help us… help you by: being at this event 1/2 earlier then your assigned DJing time, and that you get all Charting material in on time. We are purchasing a 1,000 person stream for listeners outside of SL to be listening in. So external audiences will be listening in based on the schedule we will be making.
Hopefully your efforts and talents demonstrated here in SL, will reach the many of the thousands of dancefuel customers, associates and affiliates. We look forward to working with you.
